As I lay in bed this morning contemplating my day, I could not decide whether to walk or to do a yoga routine. Since I was getting out of bed a little later than usual, it was bound to be too hot to walk. A look at the outside temperature told me it was in the high 70's... Not too cool, but not hot enough to cause heat stroke in a walking, menopausal woman. I grabbed my hat and my walking stick and headed out.
Have I ever told you how clumsy I am? I will bump me head on a cabinet that has been in the same place since forever or I can trip over some dust on the floor. Hubs usually rolls his eyes as he asks if I am all right.
This morning I was 1.5 miles into my two mile route when this huge boulder appeared out of nowhere I stumbled over my own foot. Down I went. ROAD RASH!
I did not have to look around to see if anyone saw me because I was face down in the street along the curb of a fairly busy street. Everyone in town saw me, I am sure! One car slowed, but I'm sure that is because they were laughing so hard.
I can still laugh at myself. Or maybe I was laughing at Hubs as he got a bit woozy taking pictures of me. Such a light weight!

Bless your heart!! I am sorta like your husband.....ughh....and on top of that, trying to exercise! Girl, I need to do the same thing! But I don't.....but I need too!!!! Hope this is not too painful, it sure was painful for me!!!
I can't believe you are smiling so big with that oooozing looking boo boo. You poor clumsy thing. I can say that beacuase I also fall, and it is always best to do in in public.
Glad you are feeling better and sleeping, as for the clumsy, it will be with you (us) forever!!!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh OUCH!! You KNOW how weak my stomach is!!!..I saw your big Boo Boo picture...and just about fainted and fell off of my computer chair. Keep some Polysporin on that! I need to go get a cold washcloth now! What are we going to do with you when you get old Miss Clumsy?
It's a relief to know that there are "clumsy" kindred spirits out there! My neighbor once looked at a big scrape on my nose with a wary eye. He wondered aloud if my husband was the violent type. I had to admit that I was just a klutz who ran into my own screen door in broad daylight. Ha ha. Thanks for making me feel normal.
Warmly, Michelle
Oh, OW!!! That looks just awful. And there you stand with a big grin...
It must've been the heat that brought you down! Looks nasty, and painful. Sorry... but at least it wasn't your nose! Take care.
Ouchy! Sorry you tripped and fell. It's easy to do. Not too long ago I was having lots of problems with my knees and went to step over the hose that was pumping gas into the car and down I went rolling over and over... luckily I don't think anyone saw, but if they did it must have been a pretty funny sight. This stuff happens. I fall all the time and my husband now looks for things I might trip over and moves them :)
