Winter's Last Gasp

Or maybe just a whisper...

Yesterday everyone was talking about the latest snowstorm being forecast in North Carolina. The grocery store was really busy for a Wednesday. Lots of schools in the state delayed the start of school by an hour or two.  This is what we woke up to this morning.

A lot of my friends and family in the midwest are digging out from under lots of snow...again.  They are enduring sub-zero temperatures as well.

Hang on just a little longer, my friends.  Take a look at what I found peeking out of the ground.

Spring is on the way!

Oooooo - - - I don't think I'd use the words "last" and "winter" in the same sentence just yet - - - it's only February and some of the HEAVIEST snows fall in March.

I'm just sayin' - - -

Hi Bea, I believe you. We have been in the high 50's in Central Oregon, which is just about unheard of for February. It feels like spring here, and I am glad to see that you have some proof!

Please tell me that is green I see! Unfortunately, I feel that winter is just letting us catch our breathe for a few weeks and will try one more time to put us under :)
