This is my first week to participate in Vintage Thingies Thursday. I've been looking at past posts and pictures and have decided to commit.This week, I would like to share a vintage cookie jar. This is the newest addition to my vintage things as I got it last weekend at an auction. The auctioneer said it was Hall, but I usually don't believe what he says. There are no markings on the bottom, so I don't know the maker. I'm still researching.
Of course, a vintage cookie jar needs to be filled with cookies! This week's cookies are Double Butterscotch Cookies.

Bea, I'm no expert but I don't believe it is a Hall, I have several books and I will look in them and see if I can fine it for you. I have been wrong before. But usually Hall will be marked on the bottom. It could be a Hull, they had several lines of Cookie jars.
No matter who it is by it is very beautiful and something to be proud of.
My mom had one of these, and I always loved it. And, a cookie recipe to fill it up, wow!

Welcome. I posted the same cookie jar a couple weeks ago. Ebay and other places refer to this as a Hull Pottery item but it is not marked as they would. I gave a few links for research, if you're interested. I love my jar! Your's looks in very good shape.

That is a decoration in itself for the kitchen. Very pretty.

WHat a great day for cookie recipes.....I am going to make these for the super bowl. Love your cookie jar, I think it is a Hall. But I am not for sure, but none the less, it is wonderful.

I think yours is PROBABLY "HULL"...I have one just like it! My parents recieved it as a Wedding gift!

What a great cookie jar. Apples are my favorite. Definitely looks vintage.
The auctioneer must have meant to say "Hull". Your apple cookie jar is fabulous-- always a favorite with collectors! There are other pieces that go with this jar. Just go to eBay and type "Hull", apple in the search.

Your jar is exactly the one I gre up snitching cookies from! my only regret is..I broke the lid one time in my hurry from moms kitchen! I still have the jar though and use it to hold wooden utencils
