Finished ON Friday - Holiday Decorating...

...or maybe I should say Holiday UN-decorating.

It has been a real struggle for me this week. Last night I decided I just needed to push through the blue funk that has been surrounding me for the last couple of weeks. I decided that if I got the Christmas decorations put away, I would feel better.

This is what my dining room looked like this morning.

This is what it looks like now.

Where did all that stuff go? Back in the TEN plastic totes where they belong eleven months of the year. All of these totes are stuffed.

Please! Someone tell me they have as much, if not more Christmas decorations. Shortly after taking this picture, Hubs put his muscles to work and carried all these boxes to the garage. Some time next week, we will move them to the loft in the garage.

It was a beautiful day here today with lots of warm sunshine. I made sure to get outside to soak up some yellow light. It seems the blue has disappeared.

Have you managed to accomplish something this week - big or small? Tell us about it at "Finished for Friday" at Lit and Literature. Threeundertwo is our host and she has a new look. Check it out!

May you have a productive weekend!

Good for you for getting so much accomplished. Now that your done why not come over to my house and help me get mine carried into the storage room? I need about a dozen more of those blue totes myself.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope to see you again.

Oh, Bea I wish I could get all my Christmas stuff in 10 plastic totes, so yes I have more than that, I'll be glad to send you some of it if you need it...lol...I love putting it out and seeing all my beautiful decorations, but I'd rather take a beating than start putting it all up. Sigh.... took 3 days to undecorate.
Hope you enjoy this beautiful sunny weather, we got rain coming back in tomorrow...

Well, that's gotta feel good! I don't have ANY fancy totes for my poor (plastic) Christmas decs. They get shoved into paper bags or diaper boxes and unceremoniously dumped in the basement. Usually by the next year the paper bags have gotten wet and it's an even bigger mess.

I bet we do have more than 10 of those totes full of toys, though. I know for a fact we have two large ones full of Legos.

Your house is just gorgeous. I love the yellow in the dining room. We have a similar yellow in our living room.

I wish I could pare our decorations down to 10 totes, that would be great. I really don't like putting the decorations away part of the season, that's when I get the blues. Hope you're feeling better though, now, you'll have to sit and stitch up a few more decorations so you can catch up with the rest of us (LOL).

Yes I have at least that much and I HATE packing it all up to put away. It's like a giant puzzle. I have some oversized things too that don't want to go into any containers. Congratulations on getting this all done!

Well Bea, don't take a swing at my head but I used to have that many and more! This year I am down to 4 big containers. Gave a bunch to my daughter and her sweetheart for their first Christmas together. I feel as if I lost weight!

Um - I have 34 of the Rubbermaid bins full of Christmas decorations. This past Christmas for the first time I did a pared down version of my decorating. I probably won't ever do the whole house thing again. We have just decided it's too much. My biggest problem will be deciding what I am willing to part with, because I cannot bear to let go of any of my vintage stuff. I have a very bad case of TMS syndrome. (Too Much Stuff).
Besides the bins, I have other boxes with more Christmas in them. It's downright embarrassing.
