Vintage Thingies Thursday - Aunt Grace's Nutmeg Grinder

It has been such a long time since I joined all my vintage loving friends at VTT. It is good to be back.

My mom lovingly packed this sweet grinder in a box she sent for Christmas. It was her Aunt Grace's. She knew I would love it and take care of it.

I have never seen one with a top like this. Be sure to click on the photos so you can get a better look.

After grinding your spices, you can use the top to measure the amount needed for your recipe.

After you measure your spice, you can open the top to make pouring easier.

We have a vintage grinder, but not nearly as nice as this, Bea. I love the elegant shape. Good to see you back for VTT!

We have had these in the past, but not with the measuring cup on top. That is a real keeper and very old.

I have an old nut grinder, but I've never seen a spice grinder before. I love all the old red and green kitchen things.

What a clever little grinder this is. I love that it has a measured area and a place to pour. I've never seen one like this before.

Hey girl! Sorry I've been so "out of touch" recently.

Your grinder is soooo cute and I must say that I've never seen one! Shocking isn't it?

Hope you are doing good :)

I remember seeing something similar that my grandmother used - it was a nut grinder with a glass jar attached. I don't know what happened to it, though. This is neat! Thanks so much for showing us.
